Wooden Christmas Ornaments, this idea took place at our home at Christmas time in 1986. Our boys were 2yrs old and 6 mths.
They ventured too close to the Christmas tree one evening, after hearing a crash in the living room, we ran in and found both of them under the Christmas tree. After pulling them out we notice the younger one had cut himself on a knee...nothing alarming. But, at that moment
I though the glass ornaments was a bad idea around children. The next day we salvaged the wreck and rebuild our Christmas tree
with two new ornaments for the kids. Using white pine I turned two balls on a lathe, using a pyrography pen I burned in a festive scene
with their names and year.
Family members and friends who came by during the Season also had kids, and, made 106 ornaments the next Season. These little treasures have found many homes around the world since this all started.
